So how long would it be from the 'euro flag' being introduced to French authorities fining wearers of red/blue ensigns?
(Or could it be a case of the mail using a slack news period to whip up a bit of xenophobia - surely not!)

The snob in me would like a defaced blue ensign, so if we all have to wear the Euro thingy, I had this idea.
Here is what I have asked Mr. Flag by e-mail-
"If leisure mariners have to adopt the Euro flag any chance of your producing
a decent size one suitably defaced so that we can all have a "defaced blue
ensign".?
What I have in mind is - two big fingers in the centre circle in the "V "sign
configuration and just to make sure ,the words "Agincourt 1415" below.
With enough buyers who knows?.
I shall keep fora readers informed of replies

Agincourt is generally accepted as the founding battle of the "two fingered salute" by English archers to the defeated French, the latter who had threatened to cut of the two fingers ( used to draw their bows)of captured the archers.
