Recommendations please for two LJ's

They are light compared to your rucksack but noticeably heavier than my previous LJs.

Odd, mine do have zips and once on I hardly notice I am wearing it, but am used to carrying about a 50 KG rucksack.

Just thought it,would be polite to conclude this thread and thank everyone for the help and suggestions.

In the end we went with the Crewfit 180N Pro, and added the hoods.

Felt comfy, has a harness and crotch straps and takes a light and spray hood. Not as heavy as the Ergofits and a bit more 'familiar' design wise, although it has some nice features.

What activates the Crewfit 180N Pro? Water pressure or something else? The little red blob for manual activation looks as though it would easily get snagged and inflate the jacket. But it certainly looks good and the price seems reasonable.

Nobody has mentioned adjust the girth. Some days you can be in a shirt and other days ( or the same day!) a fleece and waterproofs. Adjusting some is a PITA. Which are easy?

I've just bought a Kru Sport Pro 180N auto with harness. Seems to be fairly comfortable and easy to adjust. It has a sprayhood. £99ish from MarineSuperStore.

I wouldn't be happy with the add on sprayhoods. Unless theyre an integral part of the jacket imagine trying to fit one whilst in the water and possibly in the dark.

£80 + sprayhood which I may leave until the season starts in earnest.

Marinestore, always been happy with the service there.

I think they are Hammer triggered but didn't ask to be honest, following this thread I decided that inflation method was not so important. Very comfortable and not heavy. Easy to adjust too.

As far as I can tell, the sprayhoods fit permanently inside the cover and become a 'fixture' once installed. They simply pull over like built in ones.

The Crewsaver Ergofit are excellent as they have a buckle each side and you can pull on each side to easily adjust, and there's a tag on each buckle that makes it easy to ease off
