Surprised no-one has any recommendations, is it because no-one uses Spanish yards? Those we looked at wouldn't allow sleeping on board or DIY boat work.

The only one I have come across for living aboard/self working is Sotogrande, not exactly in the right area.

One about 150 miles the other about 230 , not a great deal different but yes not next door .
I wonder how many UK sailors have to drive further to get to their marinas at weekend .
I guess most of us cruisers /liveaboard will sail hundread of miles for a suitable yard /marina , we wouldn't think twice to sail 500 miles or as we done in the pass over 1000 NM.
DIY Working yards are getting harder and harder to find

Cartagena has a good reputation though you cannot stay aboard on the hard. There are two yards, only one allows own work on boat but I can't remember which.
