Recommendations : Croatia bays with restaurants and moorings

Not sure if they've been mentioned but another two favourite destinations for us were the island of Zut and in particular this restaurant, where you can berth your boat on the restaurant quay foc if you eat in the restaurant

Restoran Fešta, Žut-Kornati

Similarly this is an excellent restaurant in Murter where you can park your boat on their quay

Restaurant Tic Tac Murterc Croatia

I just put the most memoreable highlights:

If you have done Kornati, I wouldn't go all the way up north to Pula,
if you do:
don't miss Brijuni (Tito island, museum, and dynosaur fossiles)

you could do Mali Losnj (for the kids)
but I preffered Veli Losinj, (pittoresc small harbour, if you time it right, (and reserve ) from approx 15pm, you can moore overnight on the town quay and nice resto on the quay.

Zadar is a nice town for visiting

around the islands in front of Sibenic, Kaprije, Krapanj, ....
there are some bay's with turquoise or light blue water
be carefull with rock's in shallow water in some places
some bay's have resto's

inland route to Skradin is very nice, aswell are the waterfalls:
make sure you are the night before moored in Skradin we like the town quay !
and make sure you can get on the FIRST boat to the waterfalls, at 8am !!!!
you will be the first in the park, and enjoy !!
by the time you want to go back (11am) the place is completely full with crowd, waiting que on the boat is 300m ....

Primosten is nice on pictures but not worth the stop imo,

Trogir is really nice

on the island Brac,
resto Pipo in the bay near Povlja is very special, (one of the most famous in this region,)
and defo worth the tour around the island,
we also like that part of the coast very much (steep high mountains)
there is entertainment for kids in Baska Voda, or Makarska, or ...
and we have special memory's on Podgora

Stari Grad is nice,
there is a very nice and quite anchorage northwest of the village called Zavala ! !!!

and old town Var is a must,
take a mooring on the town quay OR, anker in the bay Vela Garska (NW of the town, at 1nm tender ride)
we've done that bay many times, alway's saw deers there in the night or the morning.
Hvar is place tobe for youngsters

the kids might like to visit the Blue cave on Bisevo, You need tobo there in the morning (cave is only blue before 12h)
they will also like the green cave, on the most south east rock island near Vis,
you can go in that cave with a 40..50ft boat, (and make a u turn)

Korcula is worth a stop, you can anker in the quite bay on the east (vela vrbovica) at 1.5nm from the town
don't go the ACI, is not nice,
the quay on the west side of the old town is much better, (I have phone nr of the guy in charge if needed)

anchorage south of island Badija is very nice

Zuljana bay on Peljesac is nice, on south side is a camping site with a sandy beach

On Mljet,
Polace is probably the nicest bay in Croatia,
we prefer on anker, well sheltered for any wind, alway's like a lake there
but you can also moore infront of a resto,
Bourbon used tobe the best,

(Pomena is not worth the extra travelling imo)

then on Peljesac,
Konoba Nico in Kobas, mooring on the quay of the resto,
our all times favourite !! alway's adventure ;-)
from there you can visit Ston by tender

we also LOVE Sipanska Luka,
resto Marko

I was adviced a very nice stop with beach and resto on the SE side of Sipan,
Restoran Bowa

south side of island Lopud is sandy beach Sunj,
that is where are the local youngsters go

on island Kolocep, resto Villa Ruza is good

In Dubrovnik, the new marina in Gruz is open since last year !
for visiting old town, we go on anker in the harbour bay of Lokrum,
or in front of hotel Exelcior
(bring guests with the tender,)

Cavtat is our vavourite place in Croatia,
on anker in Tiha bay, or overnight on the town quay, not cheap but really worth it !
I have all the contacts if needed..
also the youngsters will like it !
if you want to go to Montengro, you have todo the checkout here,
checkin MNE in Zelenica !

in Kotor bay: highlights are:
visit Kotor and klimb the townwall
stay in Kotor harbour ! I have phone nr for reservation
Kotor is a very lively town !

Islands in front of Perast !!! (for lunch stop)

Tivat & porto montenegro, (1 or 2 nights !)
before leaving:
make reservation for getting tax free fuel, and do checkout / leave the country back to Croatia,
(checkin again in Cavtat or Dubrovnik (no stops in between checkout - checkin)

I have some more pointers in Montenegro if needed..

but this list will easyly cover 2 weeks :)

the summer that we did the trip from Porte Montenegro to Venice and back, (4y ago)
we took a agent (Adriatic Services)
they arranged the moorings (40euro/night extra for the agent) and arranged the checkin - checkout (but its doable yourselve)
with the agent we alway's got the best places to stay...
fe Hvar Town quay in July (august is nearly impossible)

I assume you have the book 999 Harbours and anchorages
you can't do this trip without !
