Recomendation for Welding & Ally Casting

Can anyone recomend a Machine shop in the Portsmouth/Southampton area that can do a repair to a heat exchanger Casting, I have just pulled the tube stack from my Yanmar 4JH4AE to clean it and the Manifold/Heat Exchanger casting has corrosion where the Tube stack O Ring is supposed to sit, Ideally I need someone that can do a weld repair to the Alloy Casting (Not the easiest material to weld) then recut the seat for the O ring. I would rather do a proper repair job than botch it with Plastic Metal any recomendations in the Porsmouth/Gosport/Fareham/Southampton area would be apreciated. Rgds Mike

Agree with google search, try searches for, Fareham, Gosport, Southampton, Portsmouth, South Hampshire etc. There are lots around. Cannot recommend any specific.
There is a guy at Wicor Marine, Portchester, who has a good reputation RS welding I think is the name, sorry no more details.

Went through same thing last Spring.

Enquired at a few places but before landing at Saunders engine reconditioners in Cadnam. They seemed knowledgeable, having reportedly done similar jobs (welded replacement of missing metal and refacing).

Was all looking hopeful but can’t report on results I’m afraid as just before agreeing to them taking on the repair we noticed the tubes end plate was bowed so job was abandoned and I went new. (Now resolved to do regular cooling system fettles to avoid future wallet shock).
