Can anyone advise me where I can purchase a rear view mirror? looking for somthing that will fix to the boat as opposed to the windscreen. Thanks for now. JBD /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Get a SWMBO instead ... they seem to have eyes in the back of their heads ... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

you need a rear viewing camera

[/ QUOTE ] presumably linked in through the latest Raymarine plotter/radar/sonar screen and showing in a dedicated window? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Quite frankly as you have to look through the full 360 degrees to be keeping a proper watch, and 90/270 (esp) are a priority over 180 why would you need one?

My bicycle mirror comes with a mounting bracket that could be fitted to something around 15-20mm tube (i.e. handlebars). Could be modified to go elsewhere. Only a coupla quid from a bike shop if I remember rightly..

I agree. I have a real problem with rear view because my boat squats under power & the wheelhouse roof obscures the view. It's a real headache in Southampton Water where all sorts of high speed & very large craft approach from astern.

Where can you get effective (i.e. reasonably long range) 12v cameras?
