The upholstery was about the only thing done before I started but pm me if you want details on anything else.
I have'nt done the decals yet but I used http://www.cars-n-stripes.com/acatalog/info.html
for the coloured stripes in the flooring and they are available in lots of colours so you may get something to replace the tape lines. check out the Sigma site and ask on the forums re. other decals but a local guy was able to photo some and take measurements to the nearby graphics shop and they made a good job.
 
"Trifle" is a 1981 Evolution 25.

She was in a bit of a sad state when she came to us in her 29th year...



...both inside and out...



...but, after 16 months of spending just about every moment of our spare time on her, through the first summer when she was stripped bare in a rather rude manner...



...the following winter, when she gradually had the insult made good...



...and a second summer during which she slowly regained her full dignity...



...she's now looking rather happier outside,...



...is a good deal more cheerful below,...



...and all in time for the end of her 30th year.

Really enjoyed looking at all your photo's of Trifle, it looks like all your hard work paid off. Well done! nice job, and now you get to enjoy. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to have a lie down now.:)
 
Thanks for the kind comments salinia and MoodyNick. It felt like a long slog, especially when every day and week we took off work to give an extra push seemed to be severely compromised by non-stop rain. By going at it hard and fast, so to speak, the light at the end of the tunnel grew perceptibly nearer every weekend, which helped keep the enthusiasm and momentum up. I can easily see how many people lose heart once they've done all the easy ripping apart and then the suddenly slowing pace as the careful putting back together begins makes the task they've taken on appear insurmountable. Being a practical project person by trade probably helps as well in terms of being familiar with keeping expectations and schedules in order.

mrtreeboy, The panel is a Blue Sea Systems 1457. It came from Aquafax for about £80. A bit pricey I thought until I looked at the lack of quality of the cheaper £20 to £40 ones. Most of them are an electrical fire looking for somewhere to happen. I was slightly mislead in that the Aquafax blurb on the item said that the switch legends were illuminated, which would have been nice, but they are not and searching the item number on the Blue Sea website verified this. There is an illuminated version available, but I couldn't find a source in this country. That said, all the lighting gubbins is in there (The clear plastic moulding thingy which channels the light from a couple of bulbs to the eight legends, for which there must be a proper name that I don't know.), so I could bung in a couple of tiny LEDs to do the job but haven't found that I miss the illumination at all. Nicely made stuff and well worth the extra money over the not all that cheap and very nasty alternatives.

My three boats!

1st. 18 ft Nomad, bought 1968 (Plywood with outboard)
2nd. 24ft Colvic Springtide which I fitted out and launched 1978 (pictured at Deauville)
3rd. Meridian 31, bought 2003, crossing the Round The Island Race finish line
Channel crossings in all 3 but only once in the Nomad (I was young and daft then) and realised it was better Sailing.

NYACHILWA

Designed by William Fife III in 1939, built at Fairlie 1952, so is she really a Fife? WF died in 1944. Extensively rebuilt in Faversham by Simon Grillet between 2005-2008.

33 feet and change LOA, 23'10" LWL. Skinny, pretty and fast. Wet on deck, and not very comfortable below.

Have just bought Red Robin and started sailing again after a 6 year break - apart from chartering occasionally.
It's a Boomaroo 25 which is an Australian built Catalina 25 with a lifting keel. The lifting keel is great as the bar we're crossing in the second photo is very shallow at low tide.
We sail on Jervis Bay which is on the NSW south coast.

Kandula, our Westerly Fulmar, based at the Royal Northumberland Yacht Club. Had her for just over a month now, having moved up from an Invicta 26.
Loving the extra space and storage.
