A Moody, Nick?

She has very nice lines Nick - what breed, assuming of course trhat she is Moody by name but not nature?
Oh and the Dart in sunshine -unusual phenomenon in recent summers.

Robin, thanks. not a Moody, that is just my old username.

She is a Starlight39 which we bought in Ireland and sailed back in October.

Un moody Starlight

Ah yes , of course, a fine sailing vessel indeed - and may the luck of the Irish sail with her.
Fair winds and tides.

My project, still Work In Progress.
Struggling for a name, SWMBO has named her "The garden gnome".

33 years old and never had a wet bottom.
Hopefully will be in Port Edgar July-ish

I think I remember looking at that boat on the broker's website. Was quite tempting really.
Have you had the Petter running? Is it a keeper?

Yes Rob, she's a keeper, I realised that by the time I had saved up for a S&S Swan 38 I wouldn't be able to enjoy it. With all that tumblehome, I reckon the "Frigate" is just like a mini Swan 38.
I equate this to finding a unused MGB GT Chrome bumper in a barn.
There is a lot to do, because we want to cruise the West coast in some comfort.
I am adding shorepower and Tacktick instruments.
The Petter is being replaced by a Yanmar 2YM15, it's actually shorter than the Petter and only 15Kg heavier. I didn't fancy getting stuck in weather for the want of some grunt in the donkey.
I am keeping a photo diary of the mods if your'e interested.

Come on then, lets see pics of your boats, it's you're chance to show off, drool and admire other people's boats...no wider than 800px please

If this works it could be a sticky or even turn into a gallery who knows

I'll start the ball rolling:

UPDATE:-
Following the success of this thread I've just made a Readers Boats gallery I'm allowing comments so play nicely /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Absolutely PERFECT.

I'll stop lurking and post on this thread. The following is my ownership progression:

22' Sea Sprite w/ 5 HP Tohatsu 2-Stroke
25' International Folkboat w/ Volvo MD1 Diesel
23' Steiger Craft Block Island w/ 250 HP Mercury 2-Stroke
18' KenCraft Challenger 190 w/ 130 HP Honda 4-Stroke

The change from sail to power was prompted by the construction of a pier upstream from a low bridge.

Here's mine.
A Sigma 33 ood with a lot of work done last winter, mainly the forecabin to do this year, oh and re do the deck paint a better colour.

My wife has one like that only it's a bit better than you started with! Thinking of doing the upholstery soon - do you have a source for bits? Could also do with some new decals if you know where to get them?
