Re: Which celestial nav book?

Why a book? why not make your almanach as you need it? with ICE makes almanch until 2050, I wont need one after that.

Or do I misunderstand?

But how?

I use NP401/HO229. Two volumes take up quite a lot of space. I cannot see myself printing off an entire volume of sight reduction tables.

Pity the Almanac is not on there...

CD-ROM?

I've never used an onboard computer for anything other than e-mail, but all the info can be stored on a CD-ROM for easy access.

Stingo's right this is a pretty amazing site. The online US publications list is at http://pollux.nss.nima.mil/pubs/.

The online sailing directions are phenomenal value, ie free at http://pollux.nss.nima.mil/sdr/ . I think this may be worth a new thread.
