Cos none of the fishing fleet use petrol! See if you can find a petrol engined commercial trawler.

The option was there when you brought your first boat, petrol or diesel. You knew what the fuel prices were so it is too late to cry about it now. Anyway, the dreaded EC has ruled that we won't be able to use red diesel from 2007 (I think?).

In 2005 - I think, the EC says we would have to use 'green' diesel, ie sulphur free which would put it up by 5%, but it would still be 'tax-free' like red diesel. Apparently, in UK, the difficulty is separating commercial(red) from pleasure(fully taxed) diesel, seperate pumps would be needed, but they manage it in Holland I notice...
