I was wondering if its possible to divide my home built asu isotherm fridge and have a frozen section I do know the bottom freezes when i turn it up.....was thinking maybe i might need a computer fan running from solar to give the divided section a boost.....if someone has achieved such a mission would be great to get some advice.....cheers

If the holding plate is only showing as the bottom half freezing when you put it on to freeze it sounds as though you need a bit more insulation for the fridge casing. I have a isotherm unit with a partioned section of about eight inches deep which remains frozen as long as the unit is kept on but I had to upgade the insulation of the case to at least four inches not forgetting the bottom of the case.

ok the holding plate is at the top the bottom freezes if i turn it up....i was thinking if i install a insulated partition door type half way down the bottom should freeze and above should be ok to store milk drinks.....etc how well this works will be up to trial and error i suppose......cheers
