Bank holiday weekend and a club trip to the Fambridge river festival.
They could only accommodate some of us, so the overspill ended up at Burnham.
Obviously, being a RCC East coast trip, the weather instantly turned foul...
Anyway, a few snaps.
Sun rising over the Medway
And a fairly brief run up getting rid of some of that pesky diesel before it turned decidedly bumpy further up the coast
Obviously, being Burnham, there was quite a lot of this
But also a decent spattering of this
We got the train to Fambridge for the river festival... which was a tad quieter than anticipated. We arrived at 10:55, by 11:00 we'd been around it twice and were sprinting back to the railway station before the rain got too much heavier.
Obviously, the weather deteriorated further and Monday's trip back was looking decidedly unpleasant so the decision made to stop an extra day. This allowed us to visit the Burnham seafront event thing, loads of stalls, live bands, lots of people and a decent car show. I was particularly smitten by a collection of these.
One day, one day...
The weather conditions were fantastic for the run back on Tuesday, this was in the middle of the estuary and the water was like glass
So, not a great weekend weather wise, and some wiser members of the club decided against venturing out but it's always nice to get away in the boat.
