For some reason, the speed readings on my Bidata log seem to have suddenly started undereading by about 30-40%. Ive checked the paddlewheel and it's running freely. I've also tried, as best I can, to clean the hull forward of the paddlewheel to make sure there is nothing nasty growing there.
Up till now, the log has always seemed about right. Obviously, I can re-calibrate it but does anyone know of any reason why the calibration of the log could suddenly change?

if its anything like my nasa one the paddlewheel has two metal pieces at 180 degrees to each other ,these rust out and one "pole" stops working so you only get a reading from one complete revolution rather than two.
