Raymarine Type 100 12v Autopilot repair

Hi, I have two Type 100 12v autopilot computers that failed and were replaced with another.
Now consigned to the sailing kit cupboard and, for the life of me, I can't remember the symptoms of the failures.

Are these worth getting repaired and are there any recommendations for repairers?

There was a common failure on these where a diode would blow. There is a service bulletin showing a simple repair by soldering on a new diode to the back of the PCB. Can you remember what the fault was ?

I think I have the bulletin somewhere as I had to fix my own type 100 this way.

If the above fix does not cure your problem then I have found these guys very efficient and fast:

You send your unit to them and tthey only charge you for an hours labour to analyse the fault and give you a quote for repair. I have had stuff repaired and returned to me within ten days even though I am in Italy!
