Hello, can anyone shed any light on some issues I have having with my mishmash of Raymraine inatraments? I have a mix of Sealk 1 and STNG gear, together with a mix of 12v and 24 V power supplies and I have have some odd issues with data swilling around the system.
Issues I have:
ST50 speed log and echo sounder data doesn't seem to reach the P70 controller and/or Axiom plotter - only COG, SOG and depth from the Axiom
The Axiom Echo sounder sometimes freezes at 35m (but can and does occasionally display deeper). A reboot and it works again.
The Ray 260 VHF very occasionally picks up a posiiton from the network but not all the time.
The Network page on the Axiom shows the EV compass but nothing else in terms of data/elements on the network - but does allow autopilot control.
Originally, the ST6000 control head worked in tandem with the P70 controller (ST6000 is at the chart table, P70 at helm) but now just repeats what the P670 does and is always 1 degree out on heading.
I do wonder if this is a power issue ont he network? I think the system can be powered from the ACU 400 but as that is set to 24v not sure that works and that is perhaps needs a 12v STNG power lead ? Individually all the bits work fine but would be good to have a STW input to the ACU-400 to improve steering performance (instead of SOG when Axiom is on) and also would really like a position on the VHF for DSC purposes.
Block diagram is below - any advice welcome (thought STNG was supposed to be plug and play!). Back on the boat tomorrow night so will be able to try any suggestions then.
