Hi All, just had my boat put into the water only to find the depth doesn’t work on the a60 version , the speed and gps location work , I am guessing there are no products out there like raymarine that do not need a thru hull?

is it worth getting raymarine to take it a part and look; or should I just replace the whole lot? Probably going to have to be when out of the water again.

Thanks!

Is it an "in hull" sender? Have you checked the fluid level?

First step, locate that tranducer.
Get your ear as close as you can to the unit.
If power is getting to the unit from MFD and activating it you should be able to hear a distinct ticking sound being emitted from the sender unit.
Makes no odds wether through hull or surface mounted on interior of hull.
If no power ie no "tick" need to check that volts is getting to unit from MFD , bad connection en route ? and of course the transducer plug is actually plugged in ?
Suspect that pulling the A60 apart for repair if it is faulty is not going to make economic sense.

Had the same issue on my Raymarine E120. The depth sounder was acting like it wasn't getting enough power (false depths or zero reading). My transducers were fine... The issue was finally traced back to my ECU. I replaced it with a refurbished one and issue fixed. Apparently a common issue on ECUs older than 7-8 years. It may be worth a diagnostic?
