The SD card reader appears to have died on mine. It still does radar and AIS which is mostly what it gets used for, but broken things can cascade sometimes.

Has anyone had a bash at repairing this or is the only option to return to Raymarine?

I found this on another forum that worked for the person with the dead card reader

You could try the unit reset,
* Turn the unit off
* Press and hold the Back Button
* Keeping the Back Button pressed in turn the unit on
* After the Splash screen you should see a Dark screen, Press the WPT Button (Waypoint) which is the option for Factory Reset
* After confirmation that FLOB has been dumped, Press Exit and then restart the unit

**Please make sure you backup all Waypoints and Routes and Data settings (My Data menu on home page) etc to a separate MicroSD
other than your Cartography Card**

Different model but failing to read chart card was what killed my Raymarine C70. Service agent said not repairable. Everything worked except would only show low-res base map. Tried a different chart card - no change.

Thanks, not repairable would be a downer as it seems to be tightly coupled with the radar. I really don't want to throw more money in Raymarine's direction and buy a replacement from them.

Tried the reset already.

I'll give it a go when I get a chance. I'm not sure surface mount soldering is going to be something I can do though.

Has anyone taken one apart and taken loads of pictures perchance?
