It says here: TOPGNSS RS232 GPS marine GPS receiver antenna module NMEA 0183 baud rate 4800 voltage 12V cable is 5 meters.| | - AliExpress that it is standard NMEA -0183 output so will be compatible and it says here: https://reviewmarine.com/raymarine-e120-review/ that NMEA 0183 can be plugged straight in to the E120.....so, all being well yes it look to be an easy plug-in integration.

As I recall, the E120 Classic only has one NMEA0183 port, so if this is already in use (eg for AIS data) it may be necessary to use a multiplexer.

If it's anything like the C-series plotters, a NMEA connected GPS has somewhat reduced functionality compared with a Seatalk one. That said, the differences are not important ones - the plotter can't display the satellites being used and so on with a NMEA GPS, but it can with a Seatalk one.

Hi Robih
I have connected it correctly and reset the baud rate but not seeing any satellites however the gps receiver for my AIS 650 shows sateliites and is connected to nmea iI have 4 mfd's so plenty of connection ports.

I do not understand the terminology but attached is the input and output sentences from the original Raystar 120 which is no longer available and i do not see these in the Top gnss specs but as i said i'm not up on what it means.Raystar 120.jpg
