Just a quick question to ask where do I send my Raymarine cards off to be updated or is this something I could do my self now with the power of the internet and a card reader / writer ?

Many Raymarine agents have the facility to update charts (C-Map by Jepessen). Check local chandleries as if they sell Raymarine chart plotters they may have the facilities or at least will help.
Alternarively mail order from C-Map agents eg http://www.prscomms.co.uk/webshop/97-c-map-update

Some while ago I bought a boat with a Raymarine chartplotter but the previous owner had retained the chart card. I bought a new card at a local agent who programmed a blank while I waited.

Kildale Marine at Hull did my update while I went into town for a coffee. I had to change to a different card format to suit my new equipment. Obviously it can be done by post.
