raymarine c80 question help!

Evening folks,
am buying a new, to me, boat that has a c80 chartplotter on it, does this come with full uk charts loaded, or do I have to buy a card,
the boat was last used in the solent, and is now coming to the east coast, blackwater etc, the slot on the unit is empty,
does not seem easy to buy charts for it, they all appear to be upgrades?? help!

If it's anything like my C70 you'll need a Gold CF format card I believe.. not 100% on that so best check the Raymarine site

Yes you will need a card to use it properly . I used navionics platinum cards , the good thing about buying a new card is that it will have all the latest updates . Hope it all works out ok .

The C80 was available with pre loaded charts but as you are using on the east coast its advisable to get an up to date chart, I would get a Navionics 28xg on a CF card which are readily available.
