Raymarine Axiom 9 Pro

There's an option to install apps from SD card or USB, so may work.

I might give it a go shortly.

I'm probably that nerd, if I had the time. The app will be signed in some way - the plotter is running a non standard Android build too.

Glad to have you on the case. You need to sail more in the West of Scotland which might incentivise you to make the time! Perhaps you already do?

Just spent all summer there (or were you referring to my posts from up there/here?)! Lifting out at Fairlie tomorrow. Back for more next year.

It would be a good idea if Antares could be shown on Axiom. However, Memory Maps and Antares are so cost effective that I just run it on an old iPad mounted on a bracket fitted to the cockpit spray hood rail. The iPad is dying now, the bottom button has failed, so I will replace with the lowest cost tablet I can find. Why, a low cost back up plotter with the advantage of Antares charts.

I have wondered if the Axiom working as a monitor could just show MM and Antares as a repeater to the iPad.

I also run Memory-Map on my ipad but in foul weather it doesn’t like the rain or spray on the screen which is why I acquired an Axiom pro.
I have my ipad on a bracket below the Axiom at the binnacle but it is far from ideal. If the Axiom could mirror the ipad running in the safety of the chart table that would certainly be an improvement though not ideal.

Thanks for that. Now we need a nerd who can give us a “workaround”.
The “workaround” is to run Memory Map and Antares on a separate tablet.

I much prefer this anyway. For tricky pilotage I have Navionics vector charts running in the plotter PLUS UKHO and Antares raster charts running on the tablet. I refer to both as they have differnt strengths and weaknesses.
In the rain the tablet is either under the sprayhood or in a cheap waterproof cover (mine was less than £20).

That's my preference too. UKHO raster gives better detail than Lighthouse or Navionics, I think.
