On our new boat we have a fantastic Raymarine nav package with GPS/fishfinder/plotter/radar all combined on a big colour screen (C120?) It is also linked to to the autopilot which has an additional separate remote control.

The VP engines have EDC - would it be posiible to set the sytem up to control throttle speed with the remote control, it would be brilliant for singlehanded mooring, or am I being too ambitious?

I have the remote control for the raymarine a/pilot. Brill gadget for longish trips - you can dodge left/right to miss obstacles while on the sunbed, no need to sit in driver seat

But it will not interface to volvo edc. AFAIK volvo do a wander lead remote for the EVC, but not EDC. EVC and EDC are very different.

FWIW, I think remote throttles is waste of time anyway. The raymarine remote steering is all you need imho.
