Raymarine a 95 are they good

Also do they work with touch screen in rain as we like to boat from the fly bridge

I have an e7 and its great. Easy to use and fine with fat finger issues. It works great with the Raymarine apps and would highly recommend one. I avoid boating in the rain, so I can't help there.

Eldest son who is well up on all this tech stuff had a play at both UK boat shows. He didn't rate the touch screen compared to other offerings such as Iphone, so we kept existing kit for now.

Just asked Sam this, he went & made his iphone screen wet & invited me to wet my finger & try to use it, not impossible but not great, inclined to open wrong app when swiping etc. Or it could be pressure sensitive screen which apparently aren't great & the reason phone makers changed to the iphone type. On the other hand JFM who has experience of touch screen nav gear swears by them, pm him or Google types of touch screen & find out which the a95 has.
Edit: Just been told the PDA's we give drivers are the pressure type, not great in my opinion. I am still using buttons however.
