we are having a few problems with Raychart software with Pathfinder PC kit. Just wondered if there are any other users on here with the same software.

sent you a PM. We have Raytech connected to hsb2 and it works, sort of. Major problems are that if the voltage on the bus drops much the pc will crash as it appears to get bad data off the hsb. You need to keep the batteries well topped up to aviod this.

The supply voltage to the RL70 is probably the only thing that hasn't been thought of or checked!

Raymarine QA dept has also confirmed this could be an issue. NOW THEY TELL ME!

thanks for the tip, even us "pro's" get stumped occasionally.

Bear in mind that the entire HSB is very sensitive to voltage, not just the Rl70. One way to check everything out is to run it all up on shore power and ensure it works, then disconnect and see if anything fails. We ended up putting in a dc/dc converter to ensure the correct voltage on the bus.

thanks for that. Its not a problem we have encoutered before but it is certainly going to be worth investigating.
