Raysand Buoys - River Crouch


Mariners are advised that the Raysand Buoy in approximate position 51°40.840 N , 001°00.570 E

and Raysand North Buoy in approximate position 51°40.810 N, 001°00.570 E

have both been removed from station for urgent repairs and maintenance.
 
I ran aground there once. Tried crossing to early. Anchored off and went across later

It was a regular feature between MLSC and the Tollesbury CC. I’ll try to dig up some pictures. I played several times for MLSC, and even scored some runs, though I always found running in wellies hard. I bowled too, but the pitch never seemed to take spin. Eventually, people started to lose interest, partly because the game usually ended up falling to bits when people brought dogs that ran after the ball and it stopped being fun.
