Ray marine Autopilot/Compass Problems

Hi,

Hi have a raymarine P70R controller for my autopilot. Overtime I start my instrument , it requires calibration. If I don't calibrate it, the compass is off by at least 15 degrees and of course my chart plotter is not showing the right alignment for the map as well. As soon as I calibrate it, it's fine until I turn off my instruments. Then I have to do it all again.

Is there anyone here that could shed some light only problem?

Try Raymarine support. They have been most helpful when I have contacted them.

i have had head for issues before but they were not as consistent as 15 degrees and were caused by a faulty heading sensor.

Thank you for your reply. I since went out at sea for a full recalibration and it all works now
