I've recently acquired a secondhand watermaker and want to set it up to do a test run.
I've got a small strainer similar (but not identical) to this:

Question- how much does the flow direction matter with this design? Without buying additional hose and adaptors the only way I can set it up for the test run would have the flow going the opposite direction to the arrow.

And yes I would just buy what I need but it's a Sunday and I'm a long way from a chandlers...

Fine for a test run, its only taking the half bricks out. Your 20 micron pre-filter and 5 micron pre-filter will do the proper filtration. For a test run, i might only plug in a 5 micron pre-fiter anyway
