Interesting. I wonder if it was greedy rents that was the killer. I seem to remember someone telling me the rent there was ridiculous.

It used to be training ship for the Sea cadets. I remember travelling from my home in Warrington to spend a week training there for my Cox certificate. That was in the early 60's.
