Sorry misread your question. So serious answer, PM byron, he's a seasonal long stayer, or was until he sold the boat.

If you plan to stay for more than 24 hours, the best bet is the inner marina. Access is about 2 hours either side of high tide, though it can be longer at springs.

The inner marina is much more sheltered in the event of strong winds, coz a scend can roll into the outer harbour if it blows from the SW.

If you need to know more, just ask.

<hr width=100% size=1>We don't want a sports cruiser, totally impractical. Err ok then.

Dave has given you the answer and his boat is resident there so he knows what he is talking about. The rates for the Marina are the same, inner or outer but inner is more convenient if staying a while. Make sure you ask for any discounts available i.e. weekly rate, monthly rate etc. The dudes that collect the dosh are seasonal workers and will not think to offer you these.

I am also going to Ramsgate for the weekend of the golf, arriving Fri departing Mon. I'll try to moor as far away from you as possible as my rabble of a crew might disturb your slumber! I can vouch for the swell in the outer marina as I spent the night there the other week, needed quite a bit of whiskey to get to sleep. Might see you there.

Well Very soft mud, No problem!

When I got my boat in first I ran the engine for 10 minutes, lots of mud just shifted and created a snug little place for rusdders and props.

Once tide is out boat very steady !
