Radar screens on Bav 34

Next investment, funds willing, is a radar.

As the chart table lid is hinged right to the back of the table, and I dont think there's room for one on the door next to the switch panel, as the GPS is going there, where can I fit a radar screen?

Unfortunately all the 15 Bav 34's in Campers seemed to be ownerless last weekend, so noone around to ask!

I have seen it fitted on the cupboard door just fwd. of the chart table so you can then open the door and view it from the chart table. the other option would possibly be to fit it on the pod in front of the wheel. you could see it then from the helm. of course if you have plenty of money what about 1in each place and an HSB

The pod would be ideal if its not already full - the problem with the chart table is that when you are most in need of radar you need to be on deck. Maybe get a detachable arrangement to clip to the grab rail on the front of the pod?

That aside - we also need to get one for our Bav 34 - the JRC 1500 seems a popular and reasonably priced solution - which one are you going for? And let us know how the install works - whichever option you go for.

Jeremy, statement of the obvvious but you could call Opal and ask where they fit them to a new 34.
