Race of the Classics - Ipswich

Just had a look on marine traffic and seen that a fleet of Tall Ships are currently making their way towards Ipswich. A quick google and found out they are participating in the Race of the Classics. Website is in Dutch so not sure where exactly they are making their way to. But maybe an awesome sight for anyone in the area tomorrow.

Saw the fleet passing Felixstowe a few years ago, fabulous sight, some sailing,some motoring.

Saw them in the wet dock a few years back, a truly awesome sight giving a timewharp feel to the dock with a forest of masts and yards.

Heard them coming in and docking from around 1am this morning. What a sight. A few more came in a little while ago with their "theme" music blasting out as they moored up. Very little room now as they're all rafted up from one end of the dock wall to the other. Will try and get some pics later on

Yes, lovely sight, heard them leaving last year. Ghetto blasters going well past Pin Mill. How do they communicate aboard with that racket?

Odd, we saw the Lord Nelson coming out of the Thames yesterday and that was scheduled to go to Great Yarmouth. Sadly see was under engine!
