Quiet spots to pick up a buoy or possibly anchor?

Is there any hidden gems in Poole Harbour? Any time I've been there it's always seemed very busy but I've headed to a marina not a quiet anchorage.

Between Goathorn point and Cleavel Point comes to mind as an easy one for you in a boat of your size, but as you get to know the shallows better there are plenty. Mostly private land around the harbour but plenty of peeps take dogs ashore

I don't have charts in front of me, is Hawkers Lake off Keyhaven?

How far off shore do you need to be to stay afloat? I seem to think that areas dries out a lot.

Just north of Hurst Castle seems fine. I have never anchored there but it looks good on the chart, Especially in a South Westerly.
