Eurostar have announced a new twice daily service form London to Brussels, Antwerp, Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Unfortunately won't start for 2 years as they have to build the trains first!

For those based in Kent there's also a new service this year by KLM from Manston to Schipol. Two flights a day and a reasonable £89 return if you book about 10 days ahead.

Not sure the high speed trains are running yet. SNCB and NS are in a court case with the Italian manufacturers of the high speed sets which don't work and they have refused to accept them! I think the times on the Thalys site are with conventional trains from Brussels to Amsterdam.
In the mean time, you can always take Eurostar to Brussels, and change there to the high speed Thalys - Brussels->Amsterdam

Thalys trains are high speed trains (TGV).
Currently already in service on the Paris-Bussels line.

The Italian HS trains that were reject by the SNCB & NS were called Fyra.
The SNCB already got their money back - the NS is trying to get it back (without success so far).
Serves them right, since they pushed for the Fyra whereas extending the Thalys route from Paris-Brussels to Amsterdam was always the SNCB's preferred option.
