Quick whipping dyneema

Dyneema can be melted, kevlar cannot.
I normally melt the ends of dyneema lines.
Alternatives include some sort of whipping, often including stitching through the cover into the core.
Sometimes cutting the core a bit short and just sealing the cover is an option.
Self adhesive heatshrink tube is useful.

thanks! it must be kevlar then....I'll use heat shrink tubing. Great idea.

A the risk of being too cheap I find that 5 or 6 times round tight with Electrical insulating tape works well for up to 5 years. Pending on what quality of tape is used, and can easily be redone if necessary and works on all rope types.
Self-algamating tape can also be used but is much more of a phaff!
