What does one do, to seal the end of a small diameter dyneema/kevlar rope (4mm)?
Dyneema can be melted, kevlar cannot.
I normally melt the ends of dyneema lines.
Alternatives include some sort of whipping, often including stitching through the cover into the core.
Sometimes cutting the core a bit short and just sealing the cover is an option.
Self adhesive heatshrink tube is useful.
thanks! it must be kevlar then....I'll use heat shrink tubing. Great idea.
The glue-lined stuff for a preference.
