River was deserted apart from me and a local trawler.

All the local yachts are ashore for the winter.


Always wondered why you would buy a boat and promptly bung it ashore for much of the year. :)

Run out was to warm the engines for the annual oil and filter change.
Had a (very) quick whizz ........22 knots against tide at 3800. RPM.
A bit better than the struggle to get 12 knots last year with a bum covered in weed/corals/barycules.

They're almost exactly the figures I got with our boat, Nimbus 3003 with Tamd41a. During November/December I removed the R&D coupling as too much shaft was protruding from the stuffing box , re-aligned the engine, clean bum and a new prop.
 
Ashore at the moment , Just applied the antifoul coat at the weekend.

Up here I haven't missed hardly any boating opportunities despite being out since mid October.
