Not aware of him mate.....He definitley isn't Commodore now

Another very satisfied visitor to Queenborough here, having been there a couple of times in the past month. Excellent trot boat service from Phil and ashore the QYC does very decent food at a good price and is a nice place to have a drink, though there's no draught ale on tap, but there is Shepherd Neame in bottles so that's acceptable :).

I'd never got beyond the Flying Dutchman before but did have a little walk around and discovered that Queenborough is really rather charming - this place has got so much potential if the opportunity presented by the local sailing community plus visitors from different East Coast destinations and the north sea countries could be properly developed.

Visitors please note the time changes for the free trot boat service with immediate effect:

Friday 16.00 to 21.45
Saturday 16.00 to 21.45
Sunday 16.00 to 21.45

All times are weather and visitor number dependant. This wil run until 30/09/13.
From 1/10/13 there will be no trot boat service until the start of next season

Cheers
Phil

At last! I've been banging on about this for years to anyone who'd listen. Not many people so far...

Hi Cantata

I think people are listening now....The amount of visitors we have had this year has been unbelievable. We have had many regular visitors, and many st
opping off overnight because of our strategic position to wait for the tides.

We want to make Queenborough a great place to visit for all sailors, the potential is huge, and we aim to provide the best service possible.

Cheers
Phil

Had the pleasure of meeting Phil this weekend for the first time. He's a grand chap performing a great service, a service that must be doing Q'boro a power of good. He was certainly busy on Sat evening, local businesses ought to be very grateful. Long may this all continue.

Thanks Dick, was a pleasure to meet you.Hope to see you back at Queenborough in the near future

Cheers
Phil
