So, the previous thread on Quantum radars has prompted a question from me. I am changing from a Pathfinder to a Quantum radome on a front of mast mount. Now, Raymarine have made the bolt mount layout the same on the new Quantum. However, the Pathfinder mounts in a sort of backwards way on my Scanstrut M92722 bracket, so tucks in close to themast. The Quantum does not seem to have the 'backwards' mounting option and the mountings are offset to the rear, so it will be 4-6" further forward on this bracket, with a gap to the mast. I do not want to change to the smaller SC20 bracket (much extra expense). Has anyone experience with this, can the Quantum be rotated? I have an es75 plotter (with Lighthouse 3) and do not see any radar orientation options. It probably would not be an issue mounted further forward but I would like to know what my options are first.
