Are you thinking of Ray Stapley marine? I think they used to be 'the' LPG installers for marine LPG conversions. They ran the franchise with color gas but I think that side of the business went bust.

Yes your right. It was a couple of years ago I thought I needed an LPG man and got his name from the Calor website. Sorry to hear he's gone.

I will second Gas Check on the Hamble. Had a cooker, gas pipes and gas alarms fitted. Top work, good prices and a very nice chap.

No connection just a very happy customer.

I think Ray Stapleys are still there, it was the guy he got in to do the LPG conversions went bust.
