Quaggas in thames

Some mussels inside standpipes and attached to anode nuts. Also inside my weed hatch tube. Just a few small ones.
Basically anywhere there was no antifowling.
Why the concern?

Was just interested in how many would be attached if a boat wasn't taken out for a while, as mine got quite encrusted after a few months. Sounds like yours wasn't so bad, antifouling doing its job. How did you clean them off?

LOL. Yes, as sarabande said.

Those inside standpipes where cleaned out with a round file then the pipes treated with anitirust paint followed by antifowling. Same for those in the weedhatch. Those on the anodes were dislodged when the anodes were removed.

The main place they had congregated were in the weed hatch tube which wasn’t treated with antifowling.

In total, about a handful after three years since the last haul out.

Read the article and learn from the advice. Preferably read sensible, scientific articles based what is happening in this country. Do try not to panic repeatedly about them.
