Pwllheli to Holyhead.

I'm of to the boat in an hour or so....sleep on the boat and get out first light destination to be decided. Shame the weather is not great I could have left this afternoon to get Greystones in the morning. Curiosity Greystones must be about 10hrs from bardsey at about 5knts, what do you guys do Aberystwyth in?

It's all about timing!
Need (ideally) to be at Aber at HW. Helps to have plenty of water over the causeway, so really it's a neaps trip, to make all ends (and the middle) easy

Big tides tomorrow......good luck where ever you go, but I suspect there could be a fair bit of swell

HW

There's not much to be gained by taking the inshore passage through the causeway when going Pwllheli to Aberystwyth. Just go outside causeway buoy. Then head for the gap in Cynfelyn Patches reef. Then onto Aber. Aber entry is +/- 2hrs on HW I think so plan your trip around that.
Its about 30nm so allow 6hrs +. If you leave at first light, you'll be at aber at LW so will have to sail round in circles for 6 hrs (not good). HW is 20.30, first entry 18.30 so have a lie in and leave about midday.
