Hi

I've been busy recently and have not caught up with all the posts relating to fuel and associated bugs etc. I've done a quick search on the forums and could not find anything about Pure Fuel Technologies so if it has been posted before I must have been away or asleep at the back!!

Pure Fuel Technologies claim to have this conditioner--it looks like a filter of sorts to me--and it is designed to break down the microbial contamination in fuel, and I do find it interesting.

My question is to the experts on fuel etc "Is this as good as it says and would it be worth installing?"

There is a link www.purefueltechnologies.com to their web pages and any other comments would be appreciated.

I've no connection with this company.

cheers

I'm always very sceptical of all these Magnetic Conditioners that have been around for years - if they were any good or worked then surely the car manufacturers would fit them as standard?
I just make sure I change my fuel filters regularly, both in my boat and in my car.

I just got one of these, after a few people on here said they cured problems. It filters out any water/moisture and grit/rust/sand/WHY, I don't know about microbial organisms. I bought it as am on first boat and it has Eber on as well so to minimise chance of problems with engine/heating. The price just went up from £20 free del to £25.99 free del so you'd get it cheaper probably elsewhere...

A quick look at their web site suggests that this is yet another attempt to sell a completely pointless, useless and ineffectual magnet to do something to fuel. In this case, to render microbes "dormant" by causing "plasmolysis". Go on, have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plasmolysis and see just how likely it is that a magnet in a plastic tube could cause it.

Thanks for those who replied. Obviously, judging by the few who posted replies, this is not used by the many members of YBW, so I don't think I be going down this avenue--I'll just make sure the tanks are clean and the filters changed regularly.

I am puzzled that if this system is that good why are there no recommendations from companies/individuals on the web site. If, say, the RLNI had this fitted and endorsed it then I might go out and buy one.

Thanks all

Quite, and no prices published means thay probably have a game of "let's see how much cash we can make off this one" whenever they get a call!
