We're picking up our new RIB in about an hour and planning a little trip from Kew to Teddington (tidal side), can anyone recommend somewhere to stop for lunch?

The Anglers in the weir is the only place with a pontoon otherwise the Swan at Twickenham if you beach it or leave it on a long line or the Barmy Arms if you keep an eye on it.

You can "do" Richmond but to much hassle.

I love reading about my old stomping ground :)

Sorry, got nowt to do with this thread :o........hope you had a jolly lunch

Well as it happens...we never got off the pontoon :-(

Heading down there we picked up the RIB, moored at Kew Marine and then I was a bit shocked to discover that boat insurers apparently haven't left the last century and couldn't insure us on a Sunday!

Deciding to take the sensible (boring?) approach we felt it was best to risk heading off without insurance, so we got no further than the Rose and Crown round the corner! That said, not all bad, it was a lovely day and the food there is actually very nice.

That said...in light of that our plan (weather and tides permitting) we are intending to head up towards Windsor this weekend, starting either Friday or Saturday, stopping off along the way as and when...so any suggestions for stopping points, or anything we should be aware of?

I'm slightly worried about the tides as obviously up to Teddington the river gets very low at LW, so need to investigate that a bit more I guess, but any other pointers?
