Right I'm ashore, heading for the pub! I won't be posting for a while, because:-

1) I haven't got a computer in my pocket.
2) I've discovered pear cider and I'll be pissed as a parrot by 21:30.
3) Norwegian girls are pretty, (I'll be hunting, before 21:30)
4) I'm going for a good meal. (Japanese, tepan yaki)

Bye all, see you later!

That's it. Really rub it in why don't you! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif Whilst us poor sods are trying to run the office.

Pear cider... it's not just the norwegian girls that'll look pretty after a few pints of that. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Enjoy yourself... NOT.

Cheers.

<font color=red>... I want to be back on the water!

Tight Sod

What happened to - "anyone fancy a pint on Tuesday?" - he's known about this for a day or two - he could have invited us - guess he didn't dare risk us pitching up and helping ourselves to some of his diesel.
Either that or he thought we'd turn his bloody rig into the bonfire party to beat them all

regards
Claymore

Real pear cider is not a 'wusses' drink, not by a long way. Went to a cider makers plant for a tour many years ago. At the end of the tour, they took us out to a bunch of railway carriages (like something off the Orient Express, stunning, lots of stuffed leather Chesterfields and brass lamps, and one was Winston Churchills private carriage from WWII in its original state), where there was a bar, and we were allowed 30 minutes free sampling time before we had to pay for anything.

Amongst the samples, they introduced us to Perry, and told us that none of it was sold in Europe, it all went to Far East and sold at huge prices. It was superb, nothing like the nasty fizzy stuff from supermarkets.

Oh, and we drank the bar dry (literally) in under 30 minutes. Had never happened before, but they changed their sampling policy from that time on /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Re: Tight Sod

You'd have been welcome, but I didn't think you would fly all the way up here! The pear cider went by the wayside I'm afraid, replaced by lots and I mean lots of sake, follwed by lots of grolsch, I've been a very porrly little bear for a day and a half now! Feeling a lot better today, so will get after some cider tonight! Off shore again tomorrow! So I cant drink after midnight, 12 hours before helicopters, no booze!!
