Well quite aside from completely stymying alans original plan ....gotta say that im on board at st kats right now and feeling distinctly unimpressed with the facilities. You really notice it in a small boat!
To elaborate - Artemis has no heads or water, so it's a bit like camping. Therefore, reliant on the facilities. The shower block by the lock keepers office is quite good, but the facilities in East dock are woeful. There is no heating and the water pressure is dismal.
Also, I don't expect to be pampered, but you might expect a bit of gritting in this weather, but there is none. I don't expect it along the pontoons, but the area outside the toilets is positively dangerous. I only saved myself becuase the person in front of me nearly went over the side - he did end up on his arse with one arm in the water. Frightening.
However, none of this should affect the majority of the ECFers in July! And although it might be pricey, it is a great location for making the most of London without having to use public transport.
Crew now signed up for the trip and on to Gravelines.

Gents, I am terribly sorry but summer dates have just been fixed and there was a conflict I should have spotted a long time ago. It means that I will not now be able to make the dates that I myself proposed for this trip so not feeling great ..... really sorry.
Anyone up for this later in the season ?
