Just about to launch next week, and propeller still need some kind of protection.
Three blade propeller boat on the swinging mooring in Portsmouth harbour, whats the best thing to do?
Thanks

I use Velox plus after seeing a recommendation on here a few years ago (VicS I think). I'm, lazy and have found that the undercoat lasts 2 years with just a touch up. The anti foul is also very good on the log, without undercoat, and I get a whole year without needing to get the log out. (I took Venezia to Portland yesterday and despite not having been moved for 3 months because I've had a back injury the log still worked fine, whereas before I used Velox I'd be getting it out after a few weeks without being moved.)

We did 2 years with polishing the metal propeller, on the recommendation of a French "preparateur", and it worked well.

Was persuaded would be better to paint with specialist (expensive) International propeller paint last year - and by the season end the prop was so encrusted with barnacles that were losing a knot or so under engine (but clean hull so not losing speed under sail).

A hard job only part completed removing the traces of the barnacles and getting back to polished metal. Not painting again. (but may be different in different waters)

I don't think it worked for us, we tried polishing really hard and really didn't work
