I have looked everywhere (including the Zodiac dealer) and I have been unable to determine what Yamaha engine is in my 2000 Zodiac Projet 350. I love the boat but it needs some tuning and I would really prefer to do it myself. Anyone know exactly what Yamaha motor is used in a 2000? It is 2-stroke 2 cylinder.

Any help on the exact engine model or a manual will be IMMENSELY appreciated!
 
Zodiac Projet manual

I own a Zodiac Projet 420, and I just joined this forum to research and electrical issue. If you're still trying to find a manual for your Zodiac, I have a photocopied version of both the owner's manual and the service manual for the Projet 350 / 420. I could scan both manuals and email to you, or I could send you a hardcopy via U.S. mail.

Would you please point me in the direction to obtain owner's manual and service manual. I am desperate.
 
The engine is most likely to be the same as what would find in a gp800 jet bike. You will have better chance finding a manual for that engine in the uk. Also VIVA is a good tuning company for Yamaha
 
Hi!! My name is Rossella! My dad is looking for zodiac project manual 420, but he is not able to find it. I was wondering if you are willing to provide me with both manuals. In my country it's impossible to find them. If you don't have the manual scannerized copy I would be grateful if you could send me them by U.S mail and I will be,of course,responsible for all your charges.
 
I can email a pdf. The manual I have is for Avon 320 jet, with the yamaha 83hp 2T jet engine. Same engine as zodiac projet 2T. I do not have the actual Zodiac manual

Sorry for disturbing you. My father is looking for the zodiac project 420 service and owner's manual but he is not able to find them. I have just asked for a manual of a different boat with the same engine of the zodiac project 420 and I think it might be useful to my dad. Unfortunately my dad would like to get also the zodiac project 420 because he has just bought just this kind of boat. I would be grateful if you could forward me an e mail with the manual or if you could send me it by us mail. In this case I will be responsible in advance for all your charges.

Yes I've sent it; I just put "Clive Rowe" on the envelope and I'm sure the post office will figure it out from there :rolleyes:

There is a flush point for freshwater flushing but it is critical to start the engine first, and THEN turn the water on. When done, you should turn off the water THEN kill the engine

Hi clive. I've sent it - you may want to use "edit" function to remove your email address otherwise phishing programs harvest it for junk mail, people say

AFAIK the flushing point is usally a fitting on the boat somewhere, attached to the GRP structure, then "behind the scenes" that is connected to the engine flush point by a length of pipe. Off top of my head I cannot remeber where the actual flush water connection to the engine itself is but maybe it is easy to find when you look under the lid?

In any case, check first if there is a flush attachment somewhere in the GRP part of your jetski. Usually you need to buy an adapter to connect a hose, which might be an eBay job these days becuase these engines haven't been made for a few years

There is no water pump to circulate cooling water in these engines. Instead, there is a take off hose in the jet nozzle, perhaps 10mm dia, and a pipe from there takes cooling water to the engine block. The cooling water circulates just becuase the water in the jet nozzle is at high pressure. Therefore, if you can stuff a hosepipe into that pipe or take off point you will be able to flush the engine

I know Mark. It's quietly doing my head in :D. People google for a manual for that engine and it brings up a post on here from yonks ago. I get loads of PMs. I reckon I've emailed literally one manual a week for the past 3 years! :D :D

And the funnist part is how many people PM me and say "please send the manual" without any email address. Like I am supposed to just guess their email address! :D
