Looking for links to spares for older proctor spars, ie older round section booms and relitive fittings.
Most of the sites I have found tend to lead to Seldon dinghy spares.
I am actually after spares for 4" round section boom, ie shims for aft swivel end, and new forked front end plug to replace old swivel reefing end.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
TIA, C_W

Try Dave at Hamble Yacht Services Rigging Department. He's got most of Proctor's old stock squirreled away. Sorry, I don't have a number to hand.

Thanks for the link, though they couldent help, but mentioned someone like the Barge at Hamble or Burlesden, does this ring any bells?
BTW Dave Freemantle has now retired, Joe is now the contact.
Thanks, C_W

Oh.

Is Joe on the same number?

I am afraid I know no more that that that I gave you - whenever I have needed anything then that is the number I have rung, and the parts then end up in the post!

Whilst looking for other bits and pieces a while ago I did find a couple of American websites that did some fairly comprehensive spares. Perhaps you will have more luck there.

If you do find other people who do Proctor spares (somebody with an online shop with photos would be good!) then please post.

Good luck.
