Proctor dealers - mast foot.

Folks,
Anyone know the names/contacts of companies that used to deal in Proctor masts?
I need to get a replacement mast foot for the mast on my 1972 centaur.

we shortened our mast and put in a block, but our problem was the mast itself (corrosion) - is it the heel fitting you are looking for? ours is procter also, i phoned around a lot and had no joy (tho we were looking for a section of mast), this was 5 years ago. sorry i can't remember who took over procter.

make one up? or if you are v lucky, at boat jumbles? or what is the boat type etc - maybe someone on here has remasted recently/has an old mast in their garden?? you never know

The was a guy in the Hamble area called The Proctor Doctor". I'm sorry I have no contact details but someone
in Force 4 or Alladins Cave down there might be able to get contact details.

I believe that the current successor to Proctor is Selden via AFAIK another intermediate who originally took over Proctor.

I have no idea if they have any old Proctor parts or suitable replacements, but it may be worth giving them a call?

Otherwise Allspars in Plymouth.

Spares have become rather sparse in few years, but perhaps you will be lucky with a part which has had less demand than others (eg goosenecks).

It's worth giving XW Rigging a call; they used to rig all the Westerly yachts; it might also be worth trying Trafalgar Yacht Services who do a lot of Westerly spares. Also it's worth posting on the WOA Forum if you are a member; if not it's probably worth joining.
