Be carefull on the Severn, because BW are working on Holt weir with JCB's
etc and the river has come up 3 foot over night and 1 of the pontoons broke free and its coming down river. Its hit the bank half way between Holt Lock and Bevere Lock! so watch out for pontoons, JCBs etc. Now that would be a good claim
'I damaged my boat on a JCB floating down the river'

Also, why at 0100 in the morning do Hire boaters in narrowboats argue with you when you say 'move your ropes or you will sink' !!

Then 50 Nympos jumped of the bank (is that ok for ya Stam?) LOL

Leyton, I thought you knew. Narrowboats, rather like rowers, are allowed to do what they want where they want and have no idea of consideration to others, hence them taking up moorings for days, weeks even months on end, moored badly and without a concern for making room for other boats. Just as rowers will stop paddling and rest a while in the centre of a river never caring that the boat bearing down on them is restricted by depth and manouvreability and grossly affected by windage.

As for rowers dont even get me started, i come thru the rowing club at 2 knots
no wake and THEY STILL complain about my speed, told him next time he
moans i will show him what WAKE means. I really dont like been called a
